  1. I compliment and applaud the impressive collaboration and creative process of the art and floral works from the Art students and the GC of Harvard. This is a visual delight and inspiration! Thank you.

  2. What a wonderful way to start the day! Looking at the beautiful artwork and adjoining floral representation was amazing and shows the fantastic talents of students and floral arrangers. Thank you for continuing this beautiful collaboration.

  3. What a wonderful exhibit! I am first so impressed by the artwork but then equally blown away by the complimentary floral arrangers. Thank you everyone for this experience!

  4. There once was an artist named Phyll,
Who painted, but no brush or quill!
    She picked out orchids
    Without any aphids
    And created mantas with chlorophyll!

  5. Thank you one and all who made this exhibit possible. The beauty, work and imagination are
well beyond words.. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Best Wishes, Judy Ockene

  6. What a wonderful show! Beauty and humor, creativity and talent. Such color and variety. Delightful.

  7. These are just stunning. What a delight to take a break from everything around us and to enjoy these artistic pairings. Thank you and congratulations to the artists, floral designers and coordinators for bringing us this wonderful breath of fresh air and new persective during a challenging time.

  8. I am always amazed by the creativity of those who participate in this event. The artwork is a lovely reflection of young adults and their perspective of the world and the assignments and the floral designs delightfully reflecting the flavor of the art bring natural and live essence to the combination. Fantastic and inspiring! Well done everyone!

  9. Shirley would have been so pleased at how beautiful the exhibit has turned out. She was also one who always appreciated the hard work that everyone put in to make it a success. So thank you everyone for bringing so much beauty into our lives. I am of the age where I find it difficult to stand for long periods, and being able to enjoy this at my leisure is a special treat.

  10. Wonderful job, team!! Very professional video and pictures. So much hard work and creativity. Thank you to all

  11. Many thanks to the artists, floral designers, photographer, videographer, and all the behind the scenes Type A garden club of Harvard members who organized and shared their extraordinary vision and talents. What a blessing. I can visualize Shirley B. shrugging her shoulders and tilting your head slightly to the side and saying “Eh. It turned out pretty well.”

  12. Shirley B would have been very proud. The floral arrangements are very creative interpretations of the unusual pieces of the students’ artwork. Thanks to all who made BloomNart possible this year via the internet.

  13. What a beautiful exhibit! The floral interpreters have done such an outstanding job!!! It’s always so amazing to see the floral arrangements with the student’s artwork. Thank you to everyone who put all of the pieces together and put in all of the work to make this event happen! The website is beautiful!

From the very beginning this collaboration has been so inspirational. Shirley Boudreau’s heart and soul went in to creating this amazing event. It’s so wonderful that her legacy continues. What a beautiful way to honor her memory.

Shirley, we love you and we miss you so much! Wherever you are we hope you are smiling down on all of the beauty that continues to be created because of your vision.

  14. Wow this was done so well. The video, the website, the photographs—all simply amazing. The set up was super well done—so organized and safe! Great job to Marijke and AnaMaria and the GC volunteers over it. Reflecting now about how fortunate it was that Shirley Boudreau chose my son’s art work as her arrangement subject three years ago. Thanks for the legacy Shirley!

  15. Congratulations to all, Artists, Teachers and Arrangers. What a wonderful array of talents! Thank you for sharing your gifts with the community and with the larger world. Your wonderful exhibit reached a tiny town in Virginia and is very much enjoyed!

  16. This is wonderfully done; thanks to all of the Garden Club members who participated. Good show.

  17. Thank you artist and flower arrangers for this fantastic pairing and sharing of your talents. So much effort by so many to bring this event to us, and for honoring Shirley as well. Loved each and every one, ???? to all!

  18. This is gorgeous! Many thanks to the artists, arrangers, and behind the scenes throng who made this show possible. It is exquisite.

  19. While viewing the finished exhibit on the new Bloom N Art website, I continually think about the serendipity that brought it all together. If it weren’t for the pandemic, this website may not have happened. Sure, we would have enjoyed a lovely weekend of viewing the accomplishments of student and floral artists in person, but being able to share this digital exhibit with family and friends far and wide, is also priceless! It could not have happened without the many hours gifted by Patrick Vallaeys, who took on this monumental task! Thank you! Also, gratitude to members of the Garden Club who braved mask-wearing, health concerns and general uncertainty to shop for flowers and create their interpretations. Thanks to the Bromfield School students, staff and administration for their participation and continued support of this wonderful program. Appreciation to Fivesparks, for their belief in community partnership and HCTV for their expertise in producing the video. Last, but not least, giant kudos to my partner in thought, organization and action, Marijke Vallaeys. Congratulations on a job very well done!

  20. The creativity of each piece and floral accompaniments are the most perfect collaboration!! Well done everyone!

  21. Kudos to the artists, floral arrangers, and the pairing that made the magic happen — lovely and inspirational interpretations, many capturing the pandemic’s vibe and hope for the future!

In lieu of the usual public gathering to bring the artists together at the exhibit, this online presentation gives more people, perhaps family and friends, or other interested artists, the opportunity to appreciate Bloom ‘n Art 2021, and that’s a very good thing. Shirley would be very proud. Well done!

  22. Hi All
My hats off to the web designers. So nice.
It is so beautiful. Thank you so much for creating such an awesome website.
The interpretations are so amazing. I always love to see what the talented Garden Club
arrangers will create. Thank you so much for honoring the students at Bromfield.
A bonus is we get to enjoy the past year’s shows and the history of Shirley Boudreau. What a treat.
Thank you for all your hard work and creative talents, artists, and arrangers. A joy to be a part of.

  23. There are a couple of people I want to thank for their help behind the scenes. A special thank you to Barbara Heim who was always there with much needed advice and assistance. Also thanks to Claudia Wesley who helped AnaMaria and me at the Flower Market finding the flowers the arrangers had asked for.

  24. The Art Department is always thrilled to collaborate with the Garden Club of Harvard, and we are so grateful for the kindness, organization, dedication, and enthusiasm of the highly skilled floral arrangers. We are especially thankful for the beautiful vision of Shirley Boudreau, who brought the Harvard art teachers, students, floral arrangers, and community together with the Bloom ‘n Art exhibits. We miss her and look forward to continuing her legacy for many years to come!
